I personally use Axitrader, IC Markets and FXOPEN AU for my own trading. All 3 are regulated by ASIC, and do not trade against their clients. I run a large managed account with them so one would need to have a lot of trust before they can place big sums with them.

I personally suggest my broker, Gdmfx. It has low minimum account opening, tightest spreads available, multiple platform types, Hermes Academy for new traders, state of the art trading server, attractive bonuses and high leverage. I've actually taken out my original investment and trade only with the profits now :)

hi Cheesy finger! great name by the way!  :) i started trading with ironfx and i must say it is a good choice for beginners.  i had a personal account manager who helped me to get set up and who guided me through the process. the software is also easy to use and i liked the fact that i got a trading bonus as well, to help me get started. i have been quite happy with them.  ive been with them a little while now, so i dont need the handholding any more - but it's good at first.  theyve also just launched a new product for slightly more experienced traders called the mirror account.  i found out from my account manager that you get a 100% bonus on this - doesnt matter which country you come from.  give it a go - why not. you could always try the demo account if you arent sure about commiting your cash.

I would not recommend you a broker but my advise is to have a demo with as many as you can or even better a small deposit on 2-3 of your shortlisted ones so you will have a feeling how it is working with them, like support, execution, offers, spreads, etc.

There is no one broker that is the best at everything so you need to see what is improtant for you. I personally trade with Ironfx. I chose them for 4 main reasons. Their spreads were very competitive in comparisson with other brokers, they have a nice variety of platforms and products that allows me to differentiate my trading and keep me interested, they are well regulated and because they have a local office that I can visit whenever I need any help. You need to go online though. You need to make a small list of brokers you would consider and then test them. Maybe open an account check their deposit/withdrawal system. Their responsivness to you and your questions. Once you have testest them, then make your decision.
